Big Conversation on better work experiences
Wednesday 5th October 2011
CoSpA Director Oli Barrett today hosted and co-facilitated the Big Conversation, part of the Work Inspiration programme run by Business In The Community, encouraging more businesses to offer higher quality work experience placements and apprenticeships for young people.
The Big Conversation took place as part of the WorldSkills 2011 event at the ExCel Centre in London, and celebrated the second anniversary of the launch of BITC’s Work Inspiration programme.
In particular, today’s Big Conversation gave an audience of 14-19 year olds the chance to advise more than 50 CEOs, drawn from some of the UK’s biggest companies, on what they could and should be doing better when it comes to helping make young people’s first experience of the world of work more inspiring, interesting and relevant.
