PhoneBrain

PhoneBrain is a consumer education project delivered by Cospa on behalf of PhonepayPlus, the UK regulator for ‘premium rate’ phone-paid services. PhoneBrain educates young people on how to use phone-paid services safely without paying more than expected.

PhoneBrain launched in 2008 and, to date, more than 1,000 secondary schools and 75,000 11-16 year olds have taken part. In 2011, the project is being extended to more than 3,500 youth clubs nationwide via the Clubs for Young People network.

PhoneBrain was also voted Best Education Project at the Hollis National Sponsorship Awards in March 2010.

Cospa’s role has also involved bringing on board current PhoneBrain partners Clubs for Young People, Habbo, Moshi Moshi Records and Live UnLtd.
